Christian Money ManagementSpeaking of Christian Money Management, I recently saw this question asked, and it caused me to pause and think: "If we are all that God has to seek and save the lost, is God in trouble"? Since the Church is God's instrument on earth today, whatever gets done will have to be done thru us! Shocking isn't it? So this means that the ministry of getting the Word of God out to the world is up to us. Mark 16:15 says... And He said to them,"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." As Christians, it's important to become more aware of God's will regarding Christian Money Management. We have to change our perspective about money from the world's "self-centered" approach to a "God-centered" approach regarding money management. After all, one of the primary purposes for financial prosperity is to fund the spreading of the Gospel. A significant amount of financial resources will be required to spread the Gospel around the world. Corporate America will not finance such an endeavor. The money will have to come from people committed to God's plan. The money has to come from a prosperous Church. So you can see why Christian Money Management is so critical to God's plan. I've said it before, but it's necessary to repeat it. There is no shortage of wealth in the world. It's just in the wrong hands! Deuteronomy 8:18 says... "And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. It's very apparent form this verse, that God intends for His people to have wealth. Otherwise He would not have given us the power to acquire it. He just wants us to make sure we put Him and His plans first. We are to first seek to use our finances to reach those who are lost and without hope in this world. This is the key to successful Christian Money Management. God's plan is to establish the original Covenant relationship He had with Adam before the fall. To do so, He wants all to know and receive Jesus and be saved. John 5: 39-40 says... This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." So lets remember the primary purpose for acquiring wealth. It's great to own nice cars, beautiful homes, and all the other material things available to us, as long as we keep them in the proper priority. We are first called to use our resources to seek and save the lost, and then all of these other things will be added. This is operating in true Christian Money Management principles. Although the Church may be all that God has in the earth today to seek and save the lost, I choose to believe that He can still count on us to get the job done! How about you?
