I've been a Credit Repair Lawyer licensed in Michigan since 1995. I started by helping just a few friends and family members to improve their credit. Later, my own credit suffered following a divorce. That's when I became passionate about credit improvement.

It was then that I personally experienced the embarrassment, the challenges, and sheer agony of poor credit. Because of this experience, I decided to form DuBose and DuBose to help others nationwide to improve their credit.

So I developed credit improvement methods based upon the simple concept of requiring the credit reporting agencies, collection companies, and creditors to prove that they comply with the consumer protection laws when reporting your credit information. We place the burden of proof on them.

Whether you know it or not, the Big 3 credit bureaus are not government entities but private businesses earning over $4 Billion per year selling your credit information. As a result, hundreds of credit laws have been enacted to protect you and to govern how they handle your credit information. If they fail to comply, these credit laws require that any non-complying credit items be deleted. It's that simple.

As a result, my wife Marti and I share a passion for teaching credit education as well. That's the primary reason for this site.
